Julius Baer in Switzerland is seeking a Business Risk Manager to strengthen the 1st Line of Defence across the client lifecycle. You will advise Front Management, support risk-related approvals, and drive risk initiatives with regional and market teams.

The role requires in-depth risk knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with compliance, legal and audit stakeholders in a dynamic private banking environment. Fluency in English is required; German would be an asset.

Qualifications

• Banking apprenticeship and/or higher education completed.
• At least 4 years in a similar Private Banking risk role.
• In-depth knowledge of risk management principles and practices across markets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English; German would be an asset.

Responsabilités

• Supports Front Office on risk-related tasks, including self-assessments and incident handling.
• Collaborates with 2nd and 3rd Lines of Defence, Front Management and stakeholders for cohesive risk management.
• Prepares and delivers Regional/Market Risk Reporting with 2nd LoD teams.
• Drives risk awareness and training initiatives.
• Provides risk-related support for Regional/Market projects.
• Monitors remediation of risks, incidents and control issues with timely resolution.
• Coordinates with BRMs and interacts with compliance, legal, and other stakeholders.
• Leads changes to improve risk management processes in a dynamic environment.
• Supports strategic decisions balancing business and risk requirements.
