Job summary

Julius Baer is seeking a Business Risk Manager to strengthen the 1st Line of Defence across the client lifecycle. You will advise Front Management on risk, support risk approvals, and drive risk initiatives within the Region/Market.

The role demands regulatory understanding, business needs insight, and strong collaboration across lines of defence. The BRM will deliver regional risk reporting, train teams on risk best practices, and coordinate with compliance, legal and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Banking apprenticeship or higher education is required.
• Minimum four years in a similar role within Private Banking.
• Strong knowledge of risk management principles and practices.
• Fluent in English; German is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support Front Office in risk-related tasks and risk control self-assessments.
• Collaborate with 2nd and 3rd Lines of Defence and stakeholders.
• Prepare regional/market risk reporting and address regulatory concerns.
• Drive risk awareness and training initiatives.
• Provide risk support for regional and market projects.
• Monitor remediation of risks and gaps identified by audits.
