IMPACT Initiatives is seeking a Regional Senior Research Officer to support the East and Southeast Africa region from Kampala. The role anchors the HQ RQA Unit, ensuring high-quality, ethical research and capacity building across country teams.

You will guide quantitative study design, data handling, and dissemination while coordinating with global programme teams. The position requires 3+ years in research design and implementation, a Master’s in a relevant field, and fluency in English (French

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Fluency in English required; French desired.
• At least 3 years’ experience designing and implementing primary research programmes in humanitarian or international development contexts.

Responsabilidades

• Act as HQ RQA Unit focal point for East & Southeast Africa and support country teams on research implementation and documentation.
• Support transition to streamlined quality assurance processes at country level; develop reviewer tools and training.
• Provide technical guidance for quantitative research design and methodology.
• Provide peer review for research design, data processing, and narrative outputs.
• Flag risks with Unit Manager and provide surge support up to 25% of time.
