Job summary

Swisscontact in Switzerland is seeking a senior finance professional to lead regional financial management across the MEWANA region. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting and internal controls in multi-country projects, ensuring donor compliance and audit readiness.

The role requires ACCA/CPA and at least eight years of international accounting experience, with strong Excel, ERP and Power BI skills. Fluent English and French are essential; occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in Finance and Accounting (ACCA or CPA).
• At least 8 years in financial and operational accounting.
• Experience in international and multi-country environments.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and controls.
• Advanced Excel; experience with ERP, Power BI and reporting tools.
• Donor-funded project experience is an advantage.
• Fluent English and French, both written and spoken.
• High integrity, accountability and judgement.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Willing to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate regional financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation and performance analysis.
• Monitor financial controls, governance requirements and risk management processes.
• Coordinate donor financial management for regional and multi-country projects including reporting and grant close-out.
• Develop and maintain financial dashboards, KPIs and management reporting.
• Drive effective use of financial systems, ERP and reporting tools; training as needed.
