agap2 Switzerland is seeking a Type Test Engineer to support planning, execution and coordination of type testing for railway vehicles and systems in Switzerland. You will work at the interface between engineering, testing, commissioning, system integration and certification to ensure safe and reliable validation of railway solutions.

The role requires close collaboration with engineering, software, electrical, and system teams, along with strong documentation and regulatory knowledge.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
• Experience in testing, validation, commissioning, or verification of complex technical systems.
• Knowledge of railway standards and regulations such as EN 50126/50128/50129/50155.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, prepare, and coordinate type tests for railway vehicles and systems.
• Develop test plans, specifications, procedures, and reports.
• Conduct static and dynamic tests on railway vehicles and systems.
• Test and validate electrical and electronic systems including traction and control.
• Analyse test results and document deviations with traceability.
• Coordinate fault analysis with engineering teams.
• Support vehicle approval and certification with test evidence.
• Interface with customers, test institutes, authorities, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Assist commissioning, system integration, and technical acceptance activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of test methodologies and validation processes.
• Identify risks early and implement corrective actions.
