Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Experience in product development.
• Proficiency with CAD and simulation tools, ideally Autodesk Inventor.
• Experience in the rail industry or a similarly regulated environment is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and with precision, and to think holistically.
• Quality-conscious with sound technical judgment.
• Clear and goal-oriented communication, both internally and with customers.
• Fluent in spoken and written German and English.

Responsibilities

• Independent development, sizing, and design of new products and systems in projects and subprojects.
• Technical feasibility studies using calculations and FEM simulations, and justification of design decisions.
• Collaboration in the construction of functional models and prototypes to validate concepts.
• Preparation of standards-compliant sales and manufacturing documentation (3D models, drawings, bill of materials, circuit diagrams, and pneumatic schematics).
• Participation in FMEA/FMECA and processing of change requests within the internal change management process.
