VAT Group AG invites a talented engineering-focused student to join its Corporate R&D as an R&D Internship in Corrosion Protection in Zürich, Switzerland. The role focuses on advancing corrosion protection strategies for sensors and products, with occasional travel to Haag, Switzerland.

You will work on protective measures, testing, and failure analysis within a cross-disciplinary team of researchers and engineers in a globally leading semiconductor company.

Qualifikationen

• Current master's student or recently completed master's degree in materials science, chemistry, physics, or engineering.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Interest in learning and willingness to engage with semiconductor materials and corrosion protection.
• Experience with or knowledge of material characterization and semiconductor fabrication.
• Understanding of dry etching and thin-film deposition processes.

Aufgaben

• Support development of protective measures to enhance durability under extreme conditions.
• Assist design, implementation and testing of corrosion protection strategies.
• Conduct failure analysis and material testing to identify failure mechanisms.
• Design experiments to test durability of VAT's products in plasma etching systems.
