Job summary

FAS MEDIC SA seeks an R&D Engineer based in its ézieux, Vaud factory with regular visits to the Versoix R&D Center. You will translate client needs into specifications, develop new products, run characterization tests, and collaborate across functions to meet cost, time and quality targets.

You will work in a cross‑functional, multilingual environment requiring travel between sites and strong communication with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in microengineering, mechanics or equivalent
• In-depth knowledge of electromagnetism, fluid mechanics, manufacturing processes and understanding of electronics and programming
• Proficient in Inventor CAD or equivalent tool
• Clear, concise communication with clients and internal stakeholders
• Rigour, responsibility and proactivity
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, multicultural environment
• Fluent in English and French (spoken and written)
• Eligibility to work in Switzerland - valid work permit
• Willingness to travel 2–3 times a week between ézieux and Versoix sites

Responsibilities

• Analyze and translate client needs into clear technical specifications
• Develop new products aligned with requirements following APQP and using modern tools
• Conduct product characterization tests during development phases
• Help achieve project targets for cost, time and quality
• Collaborate with internal and external partners across project managers, manufacturing, quality, buyers, suppliers and clients
• Support product industrialization with methods engineers and monitor indicators
• Serve as the reference interface for product modifications and support production
• Perform competitive and technological intelligence to stay informed
• Explore new concepts for customer or market challenges
