IMI seeks a cross‑functional engineer based in Palézieux, Vaud, Switzerland, to translate client needs into technical specifications and develop new products. You will work with product managers, manufacturing and quality assurance, with occasional visits to Versoix.

The role requires a degree in microengineering or mechanics, strong knowledge of electromagnetism and fluid mechanics, CAD experience (Inventor), and fluency in English and French. Travel between 30–40% across sites is expected.

Competenze

University degree in microengineering or mechanics.
Knowledge of electromagnetism, fluid mechanics, and manufacturing processes.
Experience with CAD software, preferably Inventor.
Excellent English and French communication.

Translate client needs into clear technical specifications.
Develop new products aligned with requirements following APQP.
Conduct product characterization tests across development phases.
Support project targets for cost, time and quality.
Collaborate with project managers, manufacturing, QA, buyers, suppliers, sales and clients.
Support product industrialization and monitor indicators.
Serve as the reference interface for product modifications and production support.
Perform competitive and technological intelligence.
Explore new concepts for customer or market challenges.
