Job summary

Zurich Instruments AG seeks an Application Manager for Quantum Computing to drive the application strategy and enablement as customers scale quantum systems from research to multi-qubit architectures.

You will bridge scientific depth with commercial relevance, train sales teams, and engage with leading research institutes and industry players to advance our quantum solutions across research and production environments.

Qualifications

• Strong technical foundation in quantum technologies; advanced degree in a STEM field is strongly preferred.
• Experience in high-tech instrumentation or complex technical solution environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain deep expertise across quantum computing workflows—from experimental research setups to scaling architectures.
• Analyse customer needs, tech trends, and competitive solutions across quantum computing ecosystems.
• Provide structured input to Product Management on requirements, roadmaps, and solution gaps; support validation concepts and product-market fit.

Education

Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field
