Merz Aesthetics seeks a Quality Control Microbiology Technician for its Plan-les-Ouates, Switzerland site. The role focuses on microbiological QC across production environments, utilities, and products, with responsibility for monitoring, testing, and data documentation.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's or equivalent microbiology qualification, 2+ years' experience in controlled environments, and proficiency with LIMS and AI-enabled tools.

Aufgaben

• Perform microbiological quality control activities to ensure control of production environments, utilities and manufactured products.
• Coordinate environmental and utility monitoring, cleaning validation sampling, and Bioburden/Endotoxin testing.
• Coordinate outsourced testing and microbial identification.
• Ensure GMP, QMS and Data Integrity compliance; support investigations and quality documentation.
• Maintain lab equipment, premises, records, LIMS data and supplies; assist in operational planning and result reviews.
• Utilize digital/AI tools to optimize laboratory activities and data trend identification.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological quality control activities to ensure the control of production environments, utilities and manufactured products.
• Conduct environmental and utility monitoring, cleaning validation sampling, biological indicator testing, and in-process and finished-product analyses, including Bioburden and Endotoxin testing.
• Coordinate outsourced testing and microbial identification.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, the Quality Management System and Data Integrity requirements, while contributing to deviations, investigations and quality documentation.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, premises, records, LIMS data and supplies, and support operational planning and result review according to authorization level.
• Use digital and artificial intelligence tools to optimize laboratory activities, documentation and microbiological data trend identification.

Education & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (Bac+3, Licence, Licence LMD or professional bachelor's degree), or completed vocational training as a microbiology laboratory technician, Swiss Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC), or equivalent qualification.

Professional Experience

At least 2 years of experience or strong knowledge in controlled-environment production sites (ISO 5-7, Grades C and D), and at least 2 years of experience or strong knowledge of laboratory analytical techniques.
