Merz Aesthetics is seeking a Quality Control Microbiology Technician in Lonay, Vaud, Switzerland. The role requires 2+ years in controlled environments and microbiology analysis, with flexible hours and home-office options.

You will perform environmental monitoring, Bioburden and Endotoxin testing, and support method validation while ensuring GMP compliance and accurate documentation.

Qualifikationen

Position Snapshot

Job Title: Quality Control Microbiology Technician

Location: Lonay (Vaud, Switzerland)

Activity rate: 100%

Type of contract: CDI

This position operates on a 2×8 shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological quality control activities to ensure the control of production environments, utilities and manufactured products.
• Conduct environmental and utility monitoring, cleaning validation sampling, biological indicator testing, and in-process and finished-product analyses, including Bioburden and Endotoxin testing.
• Support the transfer, qualification, validation and execution of in-house microbiological methods, and coordinate outsourced testing and microbial identification.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, the Quality Management System and Data Integrity requirements, while contributing to deviations, investigations and quality documentation.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, premises, records, LIMS data and supplies, and support operational planning and result review according to authorization level.
• Use digital and artificial intelligence tools to optimize laboratory activities, documentation and microbiological data trend identification.

Education & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (Bac+3, Licence, Licence LMD or professional bachelor's degree), or completed vocational training as a microbiology laboratory technician, Swiss Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC), or equivalent qualification.

Professional Experience

At least 2 years of experience or strong knowledge in controlled-environment production sites (ISO 5-7, Grades C and D), and at least 2 years of experience or strong knowledge of laboratory analytical techniques.
