Job summary

Gi Life Sciences is seeking a Quality Assurance Logistic Specialist - Raw Materials for Visp, Valais, Switzerland. Immediate start, minimum 6 months.

You will oversee incoming raw materials, qualification, release, and supplier quality management within a GMP framework to ensure compliant manufacturing operations. The role requires 3+ years of QA in pharma/biotech, with fluent English and German, and a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of confirmed experience in Quality Assurance within pharma/biotech.
• Strong GMP knowledge and quality systems experience.
• Experience with raw material qualification and release, supplier quality management, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.
• LIMS and electronic quality systems experience; quality risk assessment familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming raw material verification per GMP procedures and quality standards.
• Manage qualification and release of raw materials used in manufacturing; verify within LIMS.
• Establish and monitor approved raw material suppliers, SOPs, and quality systems.
• Review supplier change notifications and quality alerts.
• Investigate deviations, non-conformances, and change controls.
• Monitor KPIs related to raw material qualification and release activities.
• Ensure accurate documentation and data management; escalate critical issues timely.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, QC, Supply Chain, and suppliers to maintain operations.
• Support continuous improvement in raw material management and supplier quality.

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Logistic Specialist - Raw Materials to join a leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing environment in Visp, Valais. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with a strong GMP background and proven experience in raw material qualification, supplier management, and material release activities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the compliant receipt, qualification, release, and supplier management of raw materials while supporting GMP-compliant manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming raw material verification in accordance with applicable GMP procedures and quality standards.
• Manage the qualification and release of raw materials used in manufacturing processes, including physical verification and release activities within LIMS.
• Establish, maintain, and monitor approved raw material suppliers, SOPs, and quality systems.
• Review and manage supplier change notifications and quality alerts.
• Investigate and manage material-related deviations, non-conformances, and change controls.
• Monitor and collect KPIs associated with raw material qualification and release activities.
• Ensure accurate and compliant documentation and data management.
• Escalate critical quality issues and potential compliance risks in a timely manner.
• Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, QC, Supply Chain, and external suppliers to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to raw material management and supplier quality processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of confirmed experience in Quality Assurance within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Strong knowledge of GMP regulations and quality systems.
• Experience with:
