Zusammenfassung

Chocolat Alprose in Caslano, Switzerland, is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist & Safety Coordinator to support QA activities and ensure products meet high quality, hygiene and safety standards at the Caslano site. This role balances quality responsibilities (≈80%) with safety duties (≈20%) in a hands-on production environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Quality, collaborating with Production and other departments to maintain and improve the Quality

Qualifikationen

• A relevant degree in Food Science and Technology, Biology, Chemistry or similar scientific disciplines.
• Experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within the food industry.
• Structured, analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
• Intrinsic interest in safety standards and conditions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with production teams.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to work in the production environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and reliability.
• Excellent command of English and Italian; additional languages are an advantage.

Aufgaben

• Supporting the maintenance of the Quality Management System and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and food safety standards.
• Applying and updating procedures, operational instructions and quality documentation.
• Conducting checks and verifications in production areas according to company procedures.
• Reporting deviations and non-conformities promptly and supporting their investigation.
• Supporting customer complaint management by collecting information, analysing causes and monitoring corrective actions.
• Collaborating in internal and external audits, including customer and certification body audits.
• Monitoring corrective and preventive actions and ensuring their effective implementation.
• Promoting quality and food safety culture through training support and daily communication.
• Preparing reports and documentation related to quality controls, non-conformities, complaints and audits.
