Lonza in Visp, Switzerland, seeks a Manufacturing Science and Technology Expert – Drug Product (m/f/d) 80–100% to drive technology transfers, maintain GMP compliance, and lead continuous improvement in QC processes.

The role requires a PhD or equivalent with extensive analytical chemistry experience, including HPLC/GC methods, and strong leadership capabilities. Relocation is available for the right candidate.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field; or Master/Bachelor with significant industry experience.
• Strong theoretical and practical expertise in analytical chemistry, with hands-on HPLC and GC experience.
• Experience in analytical method development, validation, and transfer is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of GMP requirements; ISO 9001 familiarity is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Lead QC projects from initiation to completion with defined scope, timelines, resources and reporting.
• Perform, oversee, and coordinate chemical and physical testing of materials and products.
• Develop, validate, and transfer chromatographic analytical methods per ICH guidelines and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and methods; implement CAPA and investigations.
• Ensure GMP/cGMP compliance and regulatory expectations across QC activities.
• Prepare technical documents including method validation and transfer protocols.
• Act as QC contact for customer projects and liaise with external labs.
• Collaborate with R&D, Production, QA, and external partners to ensure compliance and project success.
• Provide coaching and guidance to junior staff; participate in audits and continuous improvement.
