Astrelya supports its clients throughout the entire transformation lifecycle, from initial scoping and strategic planning to operational implementation, with strong expertise in Data & AI, Cloud, DevOps, and Agile methodologies.

Your Mission

As part of the expansion of Quality Engineering activities across Commerce Platforms, you will take on a hybrid role combining hands‑on QA expertise, cross‑functional coordination, and leadership of a nearshore testing team.

Your main objective will be to ensure a high level of quality throughout the software development lifecycle by embedding QA practices early in each sprint, following a Shift-Left approach.

You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams, as well as business stakeholders and external partners, to anticipate risks, improve test coverage, and ensure reliable production releases.

What You Will Do
  • Define and maintain a risk-based testing strategy, consolidated test plan, and test coverage model.
  • Actively participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and design activities to identify risks and ensure clear, measurable, and testable acceptance criteria before development begins.
  • Design, execute, and analyze manual and automated tests, including component, API, integration, end-to-end (E2E), regression, and exploratory testing.
  • Enhance test automation frameworks and strengthen test coverage in line with Test Pyramid principles.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable faster feedback loops.
  • Champion and promote Shift-Left testing practices across Product and Engineering teams.
  • Coordinate testing activities across multiple teams and releases, managing scope, schedules, environments, test data, dependencies, blockers, and residual risks.
  • Lead defect triage, prioritization, and root cause analysis in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Own the regression test suite and test automation roadmap, continuously improving reliability, maintainability, and effectiveness.
  • Oversee a nearshore QA team based in Morocco, managing priorities, capacity, deliverables, service levels, commitments, and performance.
  • Define and monitor QA KPIs, including test coverage, automation stability, regression health, defect leakage, defect ageing, and other relevant quality metrics.
  • Provide quality status reports, release risk assessments, and test exit recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Explore relevant AI use cases in Quality Assurance, particularly in test design, coverage analysis, defect triage, and test maintenance optimization.
Your Future Technical Environment

Testing & Automation: Robot Framework or equivalent tools, API testing, component testing, integration testing, E2E testing, regression testing, exploratory testing, Zephyr or equivalent test management solutions.

Development & CI/CD: Python or equivalent programming languages, Git, GitLab or equivalent CI/CD solutions, IntelliJ, VS Code.

Quality & Observability: Datadog, SonarQube, Snyk.

Architecture & Cloud: Distributed architectures, microservices, system integrations, AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Methodologies: Agile, Shift-Left, Quality Engineering, Test Pyramid, Risk-Based Testing, CI/CD.

Who Are You?
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering within complex digital environments.
  • You have strong expertise in test strategy and automation while maintaining a practical, hands‑on approach.
  • You are proficient across multiple testing levels, including component, API, integration, E2E, regression, and exploratory testing.
  • You have experience designing, enhancing, or migrating test automation frameworks and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • You are comfortable coordinating multiple teams and driving the adoption of Shift-Left practices across Product and Engineering.
  • You have proven experience managing nearshore QA teams within a managed services model, including capacity planning, delivery management, KPIs, SLAs, service commitments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • You understand the challenges associated with system integration, microservices architectures, and e‑commerce / commerce platforms.
  • You know how to leverage QA metrics to support decision‑making and provide objective risk assessments.
