Zusammenfassung

Avaloq, headquartered in Switzerland, seeks an experienced QA Leader to oversee test activities across Avaloq solutions for key customer accounts. The role combines leadership, client interaction, and testing expertise in a fast-paced banking tech environment.

You will define test strategy, manage budgets, and ensure quality gates while travelling to clients in the EMEA region. Fluency in English and strong communication are essential.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Engineering, Banking, Finance, Business or Economics.
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years work experience within the banking/financial industry.
• Strong knowledge of test concepts and methodology.
• Working knowledge of QC/ALM, JIRA, MS Office Suite.
• Fluency in English; excellent written/verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site with clients in the EMEA region.

• Lead the project-based test team, enabling it to deliver high quality across testing services and practices.
• Define Test Policy and Test Plan.
• Manage customer relationship with appropriate communication and coordinate testing activities with customer Test Manager.
• Monitor and control testing activities against planned budget and quality gates.
• Report progress to management and customer.
• Design, update and execute functional and business test scenarios/test cases based on requirements, ensuring re-usability.
• Manage test environments (baseline definition, maintenance, environment readiness).
• Manage tools for testing, tracking defects, statistics and requirements coverage reporting.
• Documentation and evaluation of the testing results.

Responsible for all test activities throughout testing life-cycle of Avaloq solutions for key customer accounts.
Customer facing role requiring excellent presentation and communication skills and ability to manage stress levels in demanding project contexts.

Your key tasks

• Lead the project-based test team, enabling it to deliver the highest level of quality across our testing services and practices
• Define Test Policy and Test Plan
• Manage customer relationship with appropriate communication and coordinate testing activities with customer Test Manager
• Monitor and control testing activities against planned budget and quality gates
• Report progress to management and customer
• Design, update and execute functional and business test scenarios and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring their re-usability
• Manage test environments (baseline definition and maintenance, assessment on environment readiness)
• Manage tools for testing, tracking defects, statistics and requirements coverage reporting
• Documentation and evaluation theresults of the testing

• University degree in Engineering, Banking, Finance, Business or Economics
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years work experience within the banking/financial industry
• In-depth knowledge of test concepts and methodology
• Working knowledge of QC/ALM, JIRA, MS Office Suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving competences
• Ability to work in a highly challenging, fast-paced and complex environment
• Willingness to travel and work on-site with clients locally and in EMEA region
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills with an emphasis on client service and presentation
• Fluency in English

It would be a real bonus if you have

• ISTQB Certification or equivalent
• Experience with Avaloq banking system solution is a strong plus
• Experience of testing in agile context: (Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, TDD, BDD, API testing)
• French, German, Italian language skills
