Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a Machine Diagnostics Engineer (100%) in the Flow division in Switzerland to advance pump diagnostics, vibration and modal analysis, and data-driven insights. You will work on diagnostics projects, develop monitoring solutions, and analyze pump operation data using Excel, MATLAB and LabVIEW.

Occasional travel to test facilities or customer sites may be required. Central workplace near Winterthur station, with a collaborative, innovation-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in machine dynamics, vibration, and experimental modal analysis.
• Hands-on experience with data acquisition systems and instrumentation.
• Solid understanding of rotating equipment; pump technology is a plus.
• Proficiency with Excel, MATLAB, and LabVIEW.

Responsibilities

• Lead machine diagnostics projects for pump technology.
• Develop machinery diagnostic and pump condition monitoring solutions.
• Analyze pump and system operation data.
• Perform vibration, acoustic, and dynamic measurements on testbeds.
• Support test bed activities with data acquisition and sensors.
• Conduct field vibration surveys at customer sites; travel as needed.
