Job summary

Corintis, based on EPFL Campus in St. Sulpice near Lausanne, seeks a Lab Technician – Prototype Additive Manufacturing to operate its in‑house AM line, run DOE campaigns, and support laser cutting and lab tasks.

You will generate structured data and help integrate R&D with production in a hands‑on role. The role requires 8+ years in precise manufacturing, a strong process mindset, and clear communication skills in English; French is a plus for site integration in Lausanne.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands‑on experience with additive manufacturing or a closely related precision manufacturing process in a semi‑production or pilot‑line environment
• Deep practical understanding of how equipment setup, materials, and process timing affect part quality
• Experience with precision measurement equipment and structured data logging
• Ability to reproduce process conditions precisely and methodically for fault replication and root‑cause investigations
• Comfortable working independently in a lab setting and communicating findings clearly, both verbally and in written reports
• Experience handling process materials and chemicals with proper PPE compliance
• Ability to write and own auditable work instructions and procedures, with knowledge of quality and EHS frameworks
• EHS awareness: risk assessment basics, chemical storage, safe operation of machinery in lab

Responsibilities

• Run the in‑house additive manufacturing equipment for DOE campaigns and design‑rule validation
• Reproduce and debug manufacturing issues from the production line
• Prepare samples and take measurements
• Capture and report structured data
• Provide process recommendations
• Act as a reliable laboratory partner to senior process engineers
• Care for equipment and consumables
• Operate the laser cutting machine
• Provide general support across the prototype lab
• Develop and maintain work instructions and procedures
