Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking an experienced Medical Physicist (f/m/d) for Proton Therapy to support development, validation, and dosimetry programs for proton therapy systems. The role requires a Ph.D.

in Physics or Medical Physics (or MS with board certification) and clinical radiotherapy physics experience. Travel and cross-functional collaboration with product management, engineering, and service teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Physics, Medical Physics, or MS with board certification.
• Two years of clinical Radiation Therapy Physics experience post-residency is mandatory.
• ABR Therapeutic Radiological Physics certification or equivalent required.
• Proton therapy system experience, preferably ProBeam or ProBeam 360.
• Strong knowledge of radiation dosimetry, safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• English fluency; German is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of clinical software and hardware including ARIA, Eclipse, proton therapy systems, QA tools, and MATLAB.
• Perform calibrations on radiotherapy equipment and prepare calibration reports.
• Conduct dosimetry characterization for new equipment and techniques.
• Manage treatment-planning computer systems and QA programs.
• Develop and maintain QA programs in line with regulatory standards.
• Provide onsite and remote technical support, with up to 50% travel.
