The Botnar Institute of Immune Engineering (BIIE) in Basel is seeking a Research Associate for the Protein Expression Facility. You will design, optimize, and scale protein expression and purification workflows, enabling multiple cross-functional teams to pursue translational immunology research.

Key duties include recombinant production, purification, and QC with mammalian and bacterial systems; developing scalable processes; and collaborating across scientific teams to accelerate discovery

Qualifikationen

• Solid foundational molecular biology techniques and protein expression knowledge.
• Experience with cloning, PCR, and vector construction.
• Proven ability to manage multiple experimental workflows.

Aufgaben

• Recombinant protein production and purification across mammalian and bacterial systems.
• Characterize proteins; assess purity, concentration, and function using SDS-PAGE, SEC, BLI/SPR.
• Develop and optimize high-throughput workflows to improve yield and throughput.
• Operate automated workflows and maintain production resources and lab infrastructure.
• Analyze data, document results, and present findings to cross-functional teams.
