Job summary

Axalp Technologies AG in Switzerland seeks a propulsion systems engineer to lead requirements and architecture for electric and hybrid propulsion in UAVs and aircraft.

You will collaborate with systems and mechanical engineering teams and customers to plan, develop, integrate, and test propulsion systems, including verification and validation, and participate in design reviews. A Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering and 4+ years of experience, plus strong English, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• 4+ years of professional experience.
• English language skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements and architecture definition for propulsion systems.
• Work with Systems Engineering to incorporate propulsion into requirements and tools.
• Define downstream testing requirements for validation of propulsion systems.
• Document requirements and architecture designs for design reviews.
• Lead propulsion system design through CoDR, PDR and CDR.
• Contribute to hands-on work to integrate propulsion subsystems into prototypes or test stands.
• Support execution of test activities (bench and on-aircraft).
