Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Klingnau invites a Project Engineer to strengthen our polymer machining and processing business.

You will drive manufacturing excellence through process optimization, quality assurance, and the successful execution of engineering projects using CAD to design components and tooling. You will work with customers and cross-functional teams, take ownership from concept through implementation, coordinate trials, and continuously improve production systems while ensuring safety

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 2 years in manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Proficient in CAD and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling.
• Experience with plastics/composites is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for sales, procurement and production; troubleshoot issues and develop tooling and work instructions.
• Manage internal and external customer development projects; define milestones and deliverables; coordinate trials.
• Improve production processes; validate manufacturing parameters; reduce bottlenecks and downtime.
• Plan and perform mechanical, electrical and thermal testing; prepare test setups and documentation.
• Create and maintain CAD drawings and 3D models with proper tolerances and materials.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental requirements; support changes documentation.
