Job summary

Progressive is seeking a Project Chemical Process Engineer (w/m/d) in Geneva. You will lead and execute chemical process engineering activities within a major CAPEX project, performing design calculations, reactor sizing, and distillation optimization.

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience as a Chemical Process Engineer in the chemical industry.
• Strong hands-on expertise in process engineering, reactors, calculations, and sizing.
• Proven Brownfield project experience in chemical production facilities.
• Solid understanding of process design and technical problem-solving.
• Experience with engineering and process simulation tools.
• English is mandatory; French is highly desirable.

Project Chemical Process Engineer (w/m/d)

Your Task:

• Lead and execute chemical process engineering activities within a major industrial CAPEX project.
• Perform process engineering calculations, process design, and equipment sizing.
• Provide deep technical expertise in chemical reactors, including reactor design, assessment, sizing, and evaluation of exothermic and non-exothermic processes.
• Design, assess, and optimize distillation processes and column systems.
• Support Brownfield projects within existing chemical production facilities.
• Review, assess, and challenge engineering solutions, technical proposals, and external engineering studies.
• Prepare technical specifications and supervise external engineering partners, contractors, and suppliers.
• Participate in commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, and process optimisation activities.
• Independently drive technical topics and act as the key process engineering expert within the project team.
• Collaborate closely with project teams and operations while acting as the technical process engineering expert.

Your Profile:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience as a Chemical Process Engineer in the chemical industry.
• Strong hands-on expertise in process engineering, chemical reactors, process calculations, and equipment sizing.
• Proven experience in Brownfield projects within chemical production facilities.
• Solid understanding of process design and technical problem-solving.
• Experience with engineering and process simulation tools.
• Ability to independently assess technical solutions and challenge engineering proposals.
• English is mandatory.
