Professor (assistant) in Physics Education

The position is a full-time appointment involving the equivalent of six hours of teaching per week, as well as the supervision of research groups in physics education. Teaching duties will be primarily carried out at the IUFE (Institut Universitaire de Formation pour l'Enseignement) and will focus on the training of secondary-level science teachers.

Within the Faculty of Sciences, teaching and outreach activities should preferably emphasize the role of physics in society. The successful candidate will also serve as the primary contact person between secondary school teachers and the Faculty of Sciences.

Requirements

• A PhD in science education; a PhD in Physics, or equivalent; research experience and publications in physics education in international journals.
• Experience in school teaching is an additional asset.
