Climeworks AG in Opfikon (Zurich area) seeks a mechanical design engineer to own the development of sorbent modules from concept to industrialization, balancing performance, manufacturability and scalability.

You will lead projects, coordinate cross‑functional teams and external partners, support prototype fabrication and testing, and drive continuous improvement while fluent English and 80–100% availability fit the profile. This role offers hybrid work with onsite days and equity opportunities.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial product development experience.
• Experience with material selection, DfMA, DfM, and DfE.

Aufgaben

• Own development of sorbent modules from TRL3 to TRL6.
• Lead lifecycle management from TRL6 to launch and end-of-life.
• Coordinate validation and industrialization activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
• Prototype fabrication and testing support.
• Drive continuous improvement of product performance and cost.
