Job summary

Fuse Software GmbH seeks a Product-First Senior Software Engineer to work directly with the CEO on strategic projects in Konstanz, Germany. You will own projects end to end, combining customer work with development of our own product, sometimes independently, other times with the engineering team.

You will turn customer problems into practical product decisions, build prototypes and production apps, and develop AI features and automation.

Qualifications

Several years of software engineering experience with shipping production software.
Strong engineering fundamentals: architecture, debugging, maintainability, and sound technical tradeoffs.
A Product-First mindset — you care about which problems are worth solving and whether your work creates value for users.
A strong interest in using coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Pi and others.
The ability to learn new domains quickly, work independently, and collaborate effectively with different teams.

Responsibilities

Own projects end to end from concept to delivery.
Turn customer problems into practical product decisions.
Build prototypes, MVPs, and production applications, choosing the right level of engineering for each stage.
Develop and integrate AI features, agents, and automation into existing products and workflows.
Work across unfamiliar codebases, domains, and team structures.
Take responsibility for the quality, reliability, and usefulness of what you ship.
