Zusammenfassung

PMI is seeking a Principal Scientist Evidence Development to shape hypothesis-driven, fit-for-purpose non-clinical study strategies and plans. You will lead the design of robust studies and guide multidisciplinary teams to achieve strategic scientific goals.

You will analyze data, interpret results, articulate scientific messaging, and communicate study findings through reports, publications and external presentations.

Qualifikationen

  • PhD in Biological Sciences.
  • 5+ years of post-PhD experience in non-clinical / translational research within an R&D environment.
  • Experience in health areas such as neuroscience, pulmonary health, cardiovascular health, or oral health.
  • Strong engagement and communication skills (including presentation and scientific writing).
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.

Aufgaben

  • Develop robust, fit-for-purpose scientific strategies and study proposals in collaboration with multi-disciplinary specialists.
  • Lead the multi-functional implementation and execution of studies/projects with timely results and problem solving.
  • Oversee third-party study execution when applicable (e.g., Contracted Research Organizations).
  • Lead data analyses, contribute to interpretation and scientific messaging, and present study outcomes.
  • Write study reports and contribute to scientific publications.
  • Keep abreast of scientific knowledge to support innovative strategies and provide insights to other programs.

Your ‘day to day’

As a Principal Scientist Evidence Development, you will develop hypothesis-driven, fit-for-purpose non-clinical study strategies and plans to achieve various complex business goals. You will develop robust study proposals, designs and plans, lead multi-disciplinary teams’ execution of the studies, contribute to data interpretation and communicates the study findings (e.g. presentations, study reports, publications). You will conduct broad literature reviews to evaluate new opportunities and write totality of evidence based scientific summaries as per business needs. The role involves regular engagements with various multi-functional partners and with external experts/Clinical Research Organizations.

More specifically, you'll
  • Develop robust, fit-for-purpose, scientific strategies and study proposals (study designs, study plans) to address business questions and messaging ambitions, in collaboration with key multi-disciplinary specialists.
  • Lead the multi-functional implementation and execution of studies/projects, ensuring scientific robustness, continuous study/project teams’ alignment, timely scientific/technical problem solving and delivery of results as per agreed plan. Lead third party study execution (e.g. Contracted Research Organizations) when applicable.
  • Lead data analyses, contribute to data interpretation and related scientific messaging, present study/project outcomes internally, write study reports.
  • Conduct broad literature reviews to evaluate new opportunities and write totality of evidence based scientific summaries as per business needs.
  • Present scientific findings at external scientific events and conferences. Lead and actively contribute to the writing of scientific publications.
  • Keep abreast of scientific and technical knowledge to support the development of innovative strategies and provide scientific insight to other research programs.
Who We’re Looking For
  • PhD in Biological Sciences.
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-PhD experience in non-clinical / translational research within an R&D environment, with scientific expertise in health areas such as neuroscience, pulmonary health, cardiovascular health, or oral health.
  • Critical thinking, result-focus, innovation and creativity mindset, planning/project management/analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Strong engagement and communication skills (including presentation and scientific writing).
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
