SERAC Biosciences AG is seeking a Principal Scientist/ Associate Director, Medicinal Chemistry to shape early discovery and drug design programs. You will lead cross-functional teams and drive projects from idea to clinical candidate, using modern tools and innovative approaches.

Ideal candidates will have a PhD in Chemistry with extensive drug discovery experience, a strong publication/patent record, and excellent English communication skills, in a collaborative Basel, Switzerland setting.

Qualifikationen

• Ph.D. in Chemistry with 5+ years of medicinal chemistry/drug discovery experience.
• Proven track record in synthetic and medicinal chemistry advancing programs to clinical candidate stage.
• Strong publication and/or patent record in drug design.
• Experience collaborating with CROs and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English for global collaboration.

Aufgaben

• Define and execute medicinal chemistry strategy across early discovery and lead optimization programs.
• Advance projects from early discovery through clinical candidate nomination.
• Apply multi-parameter optimization to drive SAR, ADME, and efficacy.
• Manage CRO relationships and coordinate outsourced chemistry activities.
• Provide leadership within cross-functional project teams in data-driven development.
