Job summary

International Schools Partnership Limited is seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to support classroom learning and SEND inclusion at ISP's Geneva area school. The role involves phonics support, reading and numeracy assistance, and working with teachers to implement learner plans.

You will accompany pupils on trips, promote wellbeing, and adapt activities to diverse learning needs, including ASD, ADHD and dyslexia, while maintaining safeguarding and inclusion standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an English-language school or educational environment.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Commitment to supporting children's confidence and progress.
• Ability to communicate with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Experience supporting SEND, including ASD, ADHD or dyslexia.
• Understanding of inclusive classroom approaches.
• Patient, flexible and empathetic with professional boundaries.
• Possession of a valid, up-to-date permit authorising work in Switzerland.

Responsibilities

• Lead small-group phonics sessions with pupils.
• Support reading, writing, speaking, spelling, handwriting and numeracy.
• Provide teachers with feedback about pupils' learning and progress.
• Accompany and support pupils on school trips and supervision duties.
• Adapt instructions and activities for different learning profiles.
• Observe progress and share feedback with teachers and Inclusion lead.
• Maintain safeguarding and behaviour policies.
