Job summary

jobr.pro is seeking a Power Analyst to maintain and improve the power market fundamental stack across European markets. You will monitor inputs and outputs, track performance, and propose improvements to support trading decisions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in power markets, a degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Mathematics, strong quantitative skills, and proficiency in Python/SQL. You will work with traders and data engineers in a dynamic international team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in power analysis or strong power markets experience in energy trading/commodities.
• Power market fundamental stack modelling experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Mathematics;
• Strong research, analytical, and quantitative skills (econometric and statistical modelling).
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Coding skills in Python and SQL are an advantage.
• Ability to explain and communicate complex concepts, translate market analyses into propositions/strategies and to communicate them clearly.

Responsibilities

• Based on research and statistical analysis, prepare fundamental scenarios.
• Continuously improve understanding of fundamental power market dynamics (supply/demand).
• Closely cooperate with traders, gas analysts, meteorologist, data engineers and developers.
