Zusammenfassung

FHNW School of Life Sciences in Muttenz, Basel-Landschaft, Switzerland, seeks a Postdoc / Senior Research Associate to characterize immune cell activation biophysically. You will apply focal molography, fluorescence microscopy and quantitative data analysis to study receptor signaling heterogeneity in living cells.

We welcome candidates with a PhD in Biophysics, Cell Biology or related field, strong Python skills for image analysis, and experience with immune cells.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in Biophysics, Cell Biology, Bioengineering or related field.
• Strong Python programming for quantitative data analysis.
• Experience with fluorescence/live-cell microscopy and image analysis.
• Experience with immune cells.
• Knowledge of label-free biophysical methods (BLI, SPR) is a plus.
• Experience in protein biochemistry, cell culture and generation of reporter cell lines.
• Fluency in English; German would be beneficial.

Aufgaben

• Develop cellular assays for immune cell activation on focal molography and fluorescence microscopy.
• Run assays using fluorescence microscopy to study cellular heterogeneity.
• Quantitative data analysis and modeling (Python) of microscopy data.
• Adapt and transfer existing cell-based assays to clinically relevant primary human cells.
• Supervise Bachelor and Master students.
• Contribute to project management.
