Zusammenfassung

FHNW School of Life Sciences invites a postdoctoral researcher or senior research associate to study biophysical characterization of immune cell activation. The role combines immunology, biophysics and quantitative data analysis using focal molography and fluorescence microscopy, with collaboration across industry partners and Innosuisse funding.

The position is fully funded for 18 months with potential extension.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in Biophysics, Cell Biology, Bioengineering or a related field.
• Strong Python for quantitative data analysis and image segmentation.
• Proven expertise in fluorescence microscopy and image analysis.
• Experience with immune cells and cell biology concepts.
• Nice to have experience with label-free biophysical methods and cell culture.

Aufgaben

• Develop and run cellular assays for immune cell activation on focal molography and fluorescence microscopy.
• Develop and run assays using fluorescence microscopy investigating cellular heterogeneity.
• Quantitative data analysis and modeling (Python) of interaction and time-lapse microscopy data.
• Adapt and transfer existing cell-based assays to clinically relevant primary human cells.
• Supervision of Bachelor and Master students.
• Contribute to project management.
