Alpian Bank is seeking an Investment Operations & Portfolio Specialist for a 6-month fixed-term assignment in Switzerland. The role focuses on hands-on portfolio operations, controls, and automation using Python, with emphasis on monitoring, trading oversight, and process improvements.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of experience in investment operations, strong Python skills, and the ability to work with APIs. Fluency in English is required; French is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in data science, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in portfolio management support, investment operations, trading support, middle office or asset management.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, portfolio management processes and trade execution workflows.
• Hands-on experience monitoring trading activity and portfolio rebalancing.
• Advanced Python skills with experience automating investment or operational processes.
• Experience working with APIs and financial data integrations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to investigate and resolve operational issues independently.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong control mindset.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Fluent in English, French is a plus.
• Swiss residency (Swiss national or valid work permit).

Aufgaben

• Monitor daily investment operations and ensure the proper execution of portfolio management processes.
• Perform daily controls covering performance, instrument monitoring, reconciliations, cash balances, liquidity checks, etc.
• Monitor portfolio rebalancing activities and investment implementation workflows.
• Oversee trade lifecycle monitoring and elevate potential issues when required.
• Coordinate and manage portfolio opening and closure processes.
• Support the execution and validation of investment decisions across client portfolios.
• Execute daily and periodic investment risk controls.
• Monitor investment guidelines, allocation constraints and operational risk indicators.
• Investigate and resolve portfolio discrepancies, trading issues and operational breaks.
• Contribute to strengthening the investment control framework and operational procedures.
