Job summary

Swiss Re is seeking an Underwriting Portfolio Engineer in Zurich to design data products and analytical workflows that improve underwriting portfolio decisions. You will partner with portfolio managers to frame questions, analyze data and deploy solutions in Palantir Foundry and other platforms throughout the full lifecycle.

This hands-on role spans problem framing, data exploration, development, deployment and adoption, with a hybrid work model and clear opportunities to measure impact.

Qualifications

• Strong data modelling, transformation, integration and analysis skills.
• Experience turning business questions into analytical solutions.
• Ability to deliver results from problem framing to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Build underwriting-specific data products and Palantir workflows.
• Translate portfolio questions into practical analytics and decision-support.
• Analyze performance, exposures, concentrations and portfolio dynamics.
• Develop, test, deploy and maintain robust solutions with reliable data.
• Work with users to ensure adoption and measurable impact.
• Contribute to engineering standards and reusable components.
