Zusammenfassung

Taskforce is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead a manufacturing site in Canton Ticino. You will oversee Production, Supply Chain, Quality & Food Safety, Finance, Maintenance, and HR while acting as the legal representative of the local entity.

The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on, day-to-day plant operations and requires a hands-on, player-coach leadership style and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry, natural sciences or related field.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent English.

Aufgaben

  • Take full responsibility for operational and business performance of the site and KPI targets.
  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team focused on accountability and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Food Safety, EHS and regulatory audits.
  • Oversee engineering, maintenance and facility activities with external partners as needed.
  • Coordinate local HR activities and staff development for business continuity.
  • Maintain highest standards of safety, food safety, quality and ethical conduct.

Jobbeschreibung

For an international industrial group operating in the Food & Beverage sector, we are looking for an experienced Plant Manager to lead a specialized manufacturing site based in Canton Ticino. This is a broad leadership position combining full operational responsibility with business and site management.

Working within a lean organization, the Plant Manager will take responsibility for the overall performance of the site, covering Production, Supply Chain, Quality & Food Safety, Finance, Maintenance, Continuous Improvement and local HR activities.

The position requires a strong hands‑on, player‑coach approach: the successful candidate will be comfortable moving between strategic discussions with international stakeholders and direct involvement in day‑to‑day plant operations.

The Plant Manager will also act as the legal representative of the local entity and will be a member of the Management Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full responsibility for the operational and business performance of the manufacturing site, ensuring achievement of agreed targets and KPIs.
  • Lead, engage and develop a multidisciplinary team, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Food Safety, EHS and applicable regulatory requirements, coordinating relevant internal and external audits.
  • Take responsibility for engineering, maintenance and facility‑related activities, coordinating external partners where necessary.
  • Coordinate key local HR and people‑management activities, ensuring appropriate staffing, development and business continuity.
  • Ensure the highest standards of safety, food safety, quality and ethical conduct across the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, Natural Sciences or a related scientific discipline.
  • Solid experience in a senior Plant Management, Operations Management, Production Management or Technical Management position within the Food & Beverage industry.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, supply chain, procurement, logistics, Quality, Food Safety and EHS.
  • Previous responsibility for people and resource management, ideally within a lean or
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving skills, combined with sound decision‑making capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent English.

Compensation

CHF 150,000 – 180,000 gross annual base salary.
