Lonza in Visp seeks a Head of Plant Engineering (80-100%) to own engineering operations, maintenance strategies, utilities and CAPEX investments. Lead supervisors, engineers and specialists, drive continuous improvement and uphold Lonza's culture across facilities.

The role requires a technical degree and 10+ years of leadership in regulated manufacturing, with strong GMP knowledge, SAP/COMOS experience, and fluency in English (German preferred).

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years in engineering and maintenance leadership in regulated manufacturing.
• Experience leading large CAPEX projects from design to commissioning.
• Strong GMP knowledge and experience with engineering systems.

Aufgaben

• Lead all engineering activities across multiple plants and technologies.
• Oversee people management: hiring, development, coaching, performance, and rewards.
• Ensure resource and vacation planning to support production.
• Promote Lonza culture and cross-functional collaboration.
• Act as Engineering Lead for capital investment projects and utilities expertise.
• Define maintenance strategies to maximise plant reliability and cost efficiency.
• Manage budgets for engineering, maintenance, utilities, CAPEX and operations.
