Zusammenfassung

Bayer in Basel-Country, Muttenz, seeks a Plant Engineer to ensure the technical availability of assigned assets, oversee maintenance and reliability activities, and manage investment planning and execution within the chemical division.

You will coordinate internal and external service providers, drive improvement projects, troubleshoot process problems, and ensure compliance with regulations. Fluency in English and German is required.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in process / chemical engineering (BSc, MSc, or advanced)
• Several years of combined experience in engineering and/or manufacturing
• Hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical skill
• Competent knowledge of fine chemicals production processes
• Proven track record in project and/or maintenance roles within the chemical industry
• Strong technical and general economic competencies
• Good communication skills, able to lead a team in a project-related environment
• Good interdisciplinary knowledge of engineering processes and tools
• Very good English and German skills

Aufgaben

• Ensures the operability, reliability, and integrity of the assigned assets
• Manages the maintenance activities related to inspection, repairs, and turn-arounds of the assigned assets; initiates, monitors, and tracks work orders
• Plans, executes, and monitors multiple basic budget (<1 mEUR) projects and / or mid-sized (1-5 mEUR) investment projects; participates in the planning and execution of major investments in her / his area of responsibility
• Identifies and evaluates deficiencies and bottlenecks and develops technical concepts for their resolution in close cooperation with 2nd Plant Manager
• Actively participates in optimization and / or innovation projects / initiatives related to her/his area of responsibility
• Conducts troubleshooting of asset and process problems
• Observes technical rules and regulations and implements technical good practices
• Owner of the technical documentation and coordinates the internal and external service providers for his / her area of responsibility
• Actively supports knowledge transfer between plant engineers and plant technicians

WHO YOU ARE
