Job summary

Lonza in Visp seeks an experienced PI System Administrator to manage the site-wide PI Data Historian, ensuring data reliability across biopharma operations. You will configure AF hierarchies, event frames, and analytics, while building interfaces to DeltaV, PLCs, SCADA, MES and LIMS.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Automation, Data Analytics and IT teams to power reporting via Power BI, and ensure GxP compliance and CSV/data integrity protocols.

Qualifications

• Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on OSIsoft PI System experience including PI Data Archive, AF, Event Frames, PI Analytics and Interfaces/Connectors.
• Experience with API development and scripting (PI Web API, PI SDK/AF SDK, REST, SQL).
• Strong IT/OT infrastructure knowledge and experience with industrial automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer the PI Data Archive, interfaces, connectors, and underlying server infrastructure to drive data reliability.
• Architect PI AF hierarchies, templates, attributes, and Event Frames for monitoring bioprocess operations.
• Develop and optimize PI Analytics calculations, KPIs, and data evaluation solutions.
