Institute for Research in Biomedicine (Bellinzona) is seeking a highly motivated PhD student to investigate autoreactive T-cell responses. The project will combine cellular immunology with genetic, molecular, biochemical, and mass-spectrometric approaches, plus translational models and patient-derived samples.

The institute collaborates with USI, offering strong scientific training, seminars, course work, and an annual retreat.

Qualifikationen

• Strong background in immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related discipline.
• Experience with T cells, primary human cells, flow cytometry, molecular cloning, or functional cellular assays is an advantage.
• Motivation to work at the interface of basic and translational immunology.

Aufgaben

• Investigate autoreactive T-cell responses and identify antigens and epitopes.
• Apply cellular immunology methods with genetic, molecular, biochemical, and MS approaches.
• Work with patient-derived samples in translational models within an international environment.
