Zusammenfassung

ETH Zurich's Institute for Biomedical Engineering houses the CMR group, focused on Magnetic Resonance technology to quantify cardiovascular function. The project explores deep inference and digital twinning of the heart using low-field CMR, simulations, measurements, and patient data.

The successful candidate will work with engineers and clinicians to advance time-resolved morphological imaging, develop novel reconstruction and ML‑based analysis, and contribute to real-world diagnostic

Qualifikationen

  • A Master of Science in EE / BME / CS or Physics with first-class grades.
  • Strong interest in medical imaging physics and data processing.
  • Strong programming skills in C, Matlab/Python and ML libraries.
  • Independent thinker with data-interpretation skills and teamwork.

Aufgaben

  • Design MR pulse sequences and image reconstruction, and fuse data with physics-informed ML for heart imaging.
  • Perform numerical simulations, experimental measurements, and volunteer studies.
  • Collaborate with clinical partners to populate digital twins and assess diagnostic value of low-field CMR.
