ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur invites applications for a PhD-level position to design and build automated measurement systems for photovoltaic device characterization. You will work within the Organic Electronics and Photovoltaics group to develop robotic platforms enabling high-throughput testing.

We seek a motivated candidate with a Master in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics, or Physics, strong hands-on skills in electronics, mechanics, and control

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or physics field.
• Strong interest in automation, robotics, instrumentation, control systems, or scientific hardware development.
• Hands-on experience with electronics, mechanical design, automation systems, or experimental instrumentation.
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Aufgaben

• Design and develop automated measurement systems for photovoltaic device characterization.
• Integrate robotics, motion-control systems, sensors and instruments into a unified platform.
• Develop software and hardware solutions for automated sample handling, measurement execution and data acquisition.
• Characterize and analyze degradation behavior of perovskite solar cells and disseminate results in publications.
