Zusammenfassung

ETH Zurich is inviting applications for a doctoral position in the Decision Sciences and Analytics group to study the design and analysis of human-AI systems. The project spans AI for clinical, legal, and education contexts, with a strong theoretical core and empirical opportunities in field or lab experiments as needed.

The role includes research, teaching, and advising master theses, with a starting date negotiable and an 18-month initial contract, extendable to a full four-to-five-year

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in applied mathematics, economics, operations, or closely related field.
• Strong analytical and modeling skills with ability to reason about optimization and mechanism design.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Analyze AI systems where the decision is high-stake or with long-term impact
• Design AI systems that lead to efficient and reliable outcomes
• Write high-quality papers and publish on top-tier OM journals
• Work with external organizations to evaluate the methods if needed
• Contribute to lab responsibilities (teaching, advising master thesis)
