Job summary

EY (Ernst & Young AG) Zurich seeks a Manager for Tax Accounting & Reporting (IFRS/US GAAP). You will shape tax accounting and reporting for national and international clients, taking responsibility early and growing with the team in a dynamic environment.

You will work on BEPS2.0 projects and lead client engagements, balancing accuracy with process improvements and collaboration across EY networks.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in tax accounting and/or tax audit, ideally in a big4 or professional services firm.
• Experience in international environments and tax accounting principles.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS tax accounting.

Responsibilities

• Act as central point of contact with national and international clients on direct tax accounting issues.
• Participate in tax audits of international groups and entities in Switzerland.
• Contribute knowledge to BEPS2.0 projects.
• Lead clients on established accounts and seek process improvements in EY and client processes.
• Manage account resourcing, budget, and delivery.
• Develop and coach the team within EY-Shared-Service-Center structures.

Your key responsibilities

• Act as central point of contact and liaise with your national and international clients and colleagues with respect to direct tax accounting issues
• Participate as part of the Primary Team in tax audits of International Groups and single legal entities in Switzerland
• Contribute with your knowledge to BEPS2.0 projects
• Leading clients on established accounts, seeking process improvement opportunity in both EY and Client processes and implementing services for new client
• Managing account resourcing, budget, and delivery
• Developing and coaching the team involving the global EY-Shared-Service-Center structures

Skills and attributes for success

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in tax accounting and/or tax audit, ideally gained in a big4 or professional services firm, within an international environment
• Sound knowledge of general and tax accounting principles as well as reporting concepts/principles (temporary/permanent differences, current and deferred taxes, etc.)
• Strong technical expertise in US GAAP and/or IFRS tax accounting
• Hands-on experience with tax audit procedures for multinational companies, including their design, execution, and oversight
• Designing, performing, and overseeing tax audit procedures for HQ Multinationals as part of a Primary Team
• Ability to analyze complex transactions and assess their tax accounting implications, paired with strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset
• Advanced command of Excel
• Great communication skills
• Fluency in and English; additional languages are a plus
