Zusammenfassung

San Diego Community College District is seeking adjunct (part-time) faculty to support City, Mesa, Miramar campuses and continuing education centers. Appointments occur on a needs basis with fall, spring, and/or summer assignments and mandatory documentation.

Candidates should reside within commuting distance to San Diego and be prepared for variable teaching schedules including day, evening, weekend classes.

Qualifikationen

• Degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Comparative Literature, Composition, Linguistics, Speech, Creative Writing, or Journalism; OR,
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and twelve (12) semester units in teaching reading; OR,
• Possession of a full‑time, clear California Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential authorizing instruction in the subject of the course; OR,
• The equivalent.

• Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
• Teach all scheduled classes.
• Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
• Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part‑time/temporary faculty member.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Provide quality instruction and foster an environment focused on teaching and learning.
