myitjob GmbH in Zürich is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (m/w) for a 100% role. You will design, develop, implement and maintain core Oracle applications, and manage SQL/PL-SQL processes to keep systems robust.

You will ensure database availability, enforce security standards, optimise architecture, and take ownership of performance and capacity monitoring in a production RAC (ASM) environment.

Qualifikationen

• 8–10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA, ideally Oracle Certified Database Professional.
• Production RAC (ASM) experience and strong performance tuning.
• Linux OS experience and Oracle tools like Data Guard, RMAN, Data Pump, GoldenGate.

Location: ZürichWorkload: 100%Start: By agreementYour tasks:Design, develop, implement and maintain the core Oracle applications and maintain the SQL/PL-SQL processesEnsure database availability and proactively manage and maintain security standards and controlsContinuously optimise and simplify the architectureTake ownership of performance and capacity monitoring of the databasesExecute data migration jobs and scripts as required and assist the infrastructure team in sizing database hardwareContribute to the creation and maintenance of disaster recovery plans and a reliable backup strategyEnsure backups are executed correctly and periodic restores are exercised to verify backup qualityDetermine and document database policies, procedures and standardsPerformance testing and evaluation to ensure data security, privacy and integrity, including identification of bottlenecks and deadlocksEnsure SLAs and operational KPIs are met and work with internal and external support functions during major incidentsYour profile:8-10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA, ideally Oracle Certified Database Professional and experience in a lead roleDatabase design (modelling and normalisation), capacity planning, performance tuning, storage management, backup and recovery, schema management and clustering technologiesOperating system experience in LinuxOracle management tools such as Data Guard, RMAN, Data Pump and GoldenGate as well as partitioningStrong practical experience with Oracle in a production RAC (ASM) environmentUnderstanding of architecture design principles and of translating capacity requirements into infrastructure deploymentSelf-starter with strong attention to detail, able to work independently and in a team
