Zusammenfassung

A leading company in marine engine design is seeking an Operative Purchaser based in Winterthur, Switzerland. In this role, you will manage day-to-day purchasing of materials and services, monitor purchase orders, and collaborate closely with suppliers. Ideal candidates will have a completed vocational training, several years of experience in operational purchasing, and be proficient in English and German. Qualifikationen

• Completed vocational Swiss training EFZ or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
• Several years of experience in operational purchasing or related functions.
• Hands-on knowledge of PR–PO–GR–IR processes.
• Solid understanding of PR–PO–GR–IR processes.
• Excellent English and German communication skills.
• Ability to engage with cross‑functional, multinational teams.
• Hands-on SAP knowledge (SAP S/4HANA) and MS Office suite.
• Strong commitment, self-motivation and team spirit.
• Flexibility and resilience under pressure.

Aufgaben

• Day-to-day purchasing of materials and services.
• Monitor purchase requisitions and order confirmations.
• First contact for suppliers regarding purchase orders.
• Serve as first contact for suppliers for POs and review of supplier invoices.
• Handle and coordinate supplier claims, non-conformities and warranty cases.
• Support metrics such as supplier performance and delivery reliability.
• Assist local procurement team with daily tasks.
• Collaborate with suppliers, material planning, 4 PL and strategic purchasing.
• Execute spot buys via RFQ within guidelines.
• Supervise and support the apprentice in daily tasks.

Operative Purchaser

Location: Winterthur

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day purchasing of materials and services, purchase to stock and purchase to order
• Monitor purchase requisitions and timely expedition (PR-to-PO cycle time)
• Monitor purchase orders (e.g. order confirmations, delivery dates)
• First contact person for suppliers for PO’s, review and approval of supplier invoices according to delegation of authority
• Handling and coordination of customer claims, non confomities and warranty cases for suppliers
• Supporting metrics such as supplier performance and delivery reliability
• Support local procurement organisation with tasks within the operative purchasing team
• Close collaboration with supliers, material planning, 4 PL and strategic purchasing
• RFQ, negotiate and execute spot buys within given guideline
• Supervise and support the apprentice with their daily tasks

Requirements

• Completed vocational Swiss training EFZ (Berufslehre), ideally further training as a purchasing specialist (m/f/d) or technical merchant (m/f/d) with a federal certificate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, preferably complemented by technical knowledge in mechanical engineering or a relevant discipline
• Several years of experience in operational purchasing, material planning or related functions
• Solid understanding of PR–PO–GR–IR processes and its applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and in German
• Capable of effectively engaging with cross‑functional, multinational teams, and external stakeholders
• Hands‑on SAP knowledge (preferably SAP S/4HANA) so as in MSO such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• High level of commitment, self‑motivated and team spirit
• Flexibility and stress‑resistant
