Job summary

Lonza Visp, Switzerland is seeking an Operational Excellence Manager (m/f/d) 80–100% to lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives and drive continuous improvement across the Mid-Scale Microbial Operations. This on-site role focuses on strategic improvement, coaching, and robust performance enhancements to ensure high-quality drug substance supply.

You will collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering and Technical Services, coach belt certifications, and monitor metrics to deliver measurable business

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 5–10 years in biopharma manufacturing, process development, or continuous improvement.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with proven impact.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and coaching.
• Fluent English; German a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean Six Sigma projects to improve manufacturing performance and efficiency.
• Own the end-to-end asset improvement roadmap for site-wide gains.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Technical Services to identify opportunities.
• Coach belts (White–Green) and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive data-driven decisions for sustainable outcomes.
• Align initiatives with local asset objectives and broader site transformation programs.
• Act as a change agent to promote innovation and Lean thinking.
