Zusammenfassung

CERN, located in Geneva, Switzerland, seeks a Software Engineer to develop and maintain the OJS-based Open Research Europe platform. You will work under a senior engineer to build, test, and operate the platform, ensuring secure and reliable service delivery in collaboration with business and editorial teams.

You will deploy and maintain infrastructure with Kubernetes/OpenShift, implement CI/CD workflows, and contribute to open-source projects related to OJS.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in developing web applications (PHP/Laravel).
• Familiarity with OJS source code and plugin system is a plus.
• Experience with container orchestration and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and communication; interest in open-source.

Aufgaben

• Contribute to developing the OJS application and plugins; test integrations.
• Contribute improvements to open-source projects such as OJS and related components.
• Assist in deployment and maintenance of CERN Open Research Europe infrastructure using Kubernetes/OpenShift and automated CI/CD workflows.
• Participate in system testing, performance checks, documentation of procedures, and day-to-day operational support.
