Qualifikationen

• At least 3 years of professional experience within Network Operations, Network Engineering and/or Network Security.
• Strong hands-on experience within complex enterprise network environments.
• Good practical knowledge of LAN, WLAN, routing, switching, VPN and firewalls.
• Strong Cisco networking experience.
• Technical expertise at CCNP level.
• Confident German (C1) and good English.
• Category B driving licence.

Aufgaben

• Operate and maintain a highly available Network & Security infrastructure.
• Resolve complex incidents within 2nd and 3rd Level Support.
• Troubleshoot network, performance and security issues in a mission-critical environment.
• Work hands-on across LAN, WLAN, routing, switching, VPN and firewall technologies.
• Participate in 24/7 incident management and an on-call rotation of approximately 10–12 weeks per year.
• Handle service requests across switching, routing and IT security.
• Work closely with Network Engineering specialists on infrastructure and security projects.
• Independently support projects from planning through implementation and successful commissioning.
• Contribute expertise to improvements in stability, performance and security of the environment.
• Gain exposure to network automation and modern infrastructure technologies.

Would you like to operate and secure network infrastructure where availability, resilience and rapid incident response genuinely matter?

I am supporting a major Swiss organisation operating a large-scale, highly available and business-critical technology environment in the recruitment of a Network Operations & Security Engineer to join its ICT team.

This is not a standard corporate network environment. You will help keep mission-critical network and security services running 24/7, supporting infrastructure and services relied upon by thousands of people every day.

You will work across Cisco networking, LAN, WLAN, routing, switching, VPN, firewalls, data centre infrastructure and network security, while collaborating closely with experienced Network Engineering specialists on projects and the continued development of the environment.

What you will be doing

What we are looking for

• At least 3 years of professional experience within Network Operations, Network Engineering and/or Network Security
• Strong hands-on experience within complex enterprise network environments
• Good practical knowledge of LAN, WLAN, routing, switching, VPN and firewalls
• Strong Cisco networking experience
• Technical expertise operating around CCNP level
• Experience with some of the following would be highly advantageous:
• Cisco ASA
• Cisco Firepower
• Cisco ACI
• A10 Load Balancers
• Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
• Network automation
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities
• A structured, solution-oriented approach, particularly when handling complex or time-critical incidents
• Confident German (at least C1 level) and good English
• Category B driving licence
